Speaker: Robert Loudon, Makai Ocean Engineering
Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion (OTEC) offers the prospect of firm renewable energy using the Earth's oceans as a solar collector and storage. Makai Ocean Engineering and Lockheed Martin have been testing technologies that form a core part of future OTEC power plants. Mr Loudon will summarize progress on heat exchanger tests and materials corrosion studies currently underway at NELHA.
