The choice of camera format and lens focal length dramatically affect the look and feel of the resulting image. Learn to see and control what happens within the frame through composition, lens choice, and aperture / shutter speed settings.
Photographer Franco Salmoiraghi has been working in Hawai`i since 1968 and his photographs of Hawai`i appear in numerous books and magazines. Recent publications include Faces in Time, a portfolio from his archive that was featured in the 2010 holiday issue of Honolulu Magazine, and several portfolio sections and writing in the book Big Island Journey. Large recent prints may be seen in the current exhibition at the Hawai`i State Art Museum: Works by Individual Artist Fellowship Recipients. His photographs are also included in many public and private collections.
