The Hawaii Flash User Group will be presenting a talk on the Robotlegs is a pure AS3 micro-architecture (framework) with a light footprint and limited scope.
Simply put, Robotlegs is there to help you wire your objects together. It provides the glue that your application needs to easily function in a decoupled way.
Through the use of automated metadata based dependency injection Robotlegs removes boilerplate code in an application. By promoting loose coupling and avoiding the use of Singletons and statics in the framework Robotlegs can help you write code that is highly testable.
RobotLegs is a pure AS3 microarchitecture so it can be used in non-Flex projects as well.
In this presentation we will learn you how to set up a flash/AS 3 application from the ground up using RobotLegs.
Francis Varga will speak about:
- Services
- Commands
- DI (Dependency Injection)
Marvin Blase will speak about:
- Views
- Mediators
- Asset Management (optional if time permits)
Please see the Hawaii Flash User Group on Adobe Groups for more information, and please RSVP if you are planning to attend.

UPDATE: The meeting date & time just changed as their was a scheduling conflict with the speaker. I am very sorry about this! If the meeting time is too late, the meeting will be on-line & recorded as well.
