Come join us on December 8th for the Global Day of Coderetreat in Honolulu :)
This event is language agnostic (not just ruby!) and intended for intermediate to advanced developers of any language looking to improve their level of software development & design.
Global Day of Coderetreat is a world-wide event celebrating passion and software craftsmanship. Last year, over 1800 passionate software developers in 94 cities around the world spent the day practicing the craft of software development using the coderetreat format. This year, we are aiming for 200 cities! With an average of 15-20 participants per city, that's over 3000 developers! You can find out more information about the day on the 2012 global day announcement. http://coderetreat.org/profiles/blogs/announcing-global-day-of-coderetreat-2012
Coderetreat is a day-long, intensive practice event, focusing on the fundamentals of software development and design. By providing developers the opportunity to take part in focused practice, away from the pressures of 'getting things done', the coderetreat format has proven itself to be a highly effective means of skill improvement. Practicing the basic principles of modular and object-oriented design, developers can improve their ability to write code that minimizes the cost of change over time.
