A Technology-focused Mini-conference and Expo

The Association for Information Technology Professionals (AITP) Honolulu Chapter and the High Tech Development Corporation (HTDC) of the State of Hawaii will be hosting a conference focusing on Electronic Commerce (e-commerce) on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Blaisdell Center.

Gartner Research VP Ray Valdes will be one of the keynote speakers at this conference. Some of the areas he will be discussing in various sessions are:
* social web
* mobile web
* Web 2.0 in the enterprise
* Web 2.0 in e-commerce
* user experience technology
* user experience best practices
* measuring and managing customer experience
* portals
* mashups provide lightweight integration
* social media and branding

While the conference will be technology-focused, it is also geared toward business owners and managers, so there will be sessions that provide a lot of practical "how-to" information, as well as more technical sessions for advanced practitioners. You will also have the opportunity to meet leading local vendors that can help you enable, secure, and optimize e-commerce functionality on your Web site.
