Explore the mechanics of color in a digital environment for application in print, web, film and video. Learn to calibrate your monitor and insure the colorspace you design in is translated perfectly on paper and on screen. Learn proper techniques to work against color shifts and muddy images as well as how to bring life to your images using illegal, spot, and metallic colors.
Workshop covers: Color terminology - Intensity, Luminance, Lightness, Hue, Saturation, etc. Subtractive Color vs Additive Color Johannes Itten's 7 color contrast CMYK, RGB, RGBA, LINEAR, REC709 and many more indexed color, dithering, halftone, alpha channels & transparency.
