We are offering a full day tutorial before the conference, brought to you by RailsBridge. This tutorial session will teach you how to build, test, and deploy a Rails application. If you build for the web, you will find aloha at this conference. The Rails community has much to share and learn from, all are welcome!

Thanks for opening up more seats....I grabbed one. I'm looking forward to meeting the local Rails community as well as everyone traveling in. Though I consider myself an expert Rails programmer, there is always more to learn so I'm thankful this event is being held close to home. See you all Monday!

Due to the strong support for the conference and our waiting list, we've opened up a few more seats! It's not too late to join the conference, with two days of solid content, discussions, debate, a Pau Hana party, and the biggest names in the Rails and Ruby community. Use coupon code techhui001 for a $75 discount!

Thanks Laurence! Scheduling was NOT easy, so many good talks, bound to have conflicts. Luckily, lots of time between sessions and at the party to chat with everyone.

Woo-Hoo! Aloha on Rails is right around the corner! 'Can't wait to pick the brains of the Thought Leaders who have created much of what we're using today!

I'm particularly looking forward to Charles Nutter's presentation on JRuby, though I'm a bit disappointed I'll be missing Jon Crosby's presentation on EngineYard's Cloud architecture in that same time slot. In fact, I'm also torn between Blake Mizerany's scalability/anti-patterns presentation versus Ezra Zygmuntowicz's presentation on DHT repositories.

I'm a kid in a candy store, and I'm torn in all different directions! Thanks to Seth and others for putting this together in our back yard! :-D

Proud to partner with Hawaii Information Consortium, the company behind eHawaii.gov, to offer the Hawaii High School Student Grant to Attend Aloha on Rails. We want to invest in the next generation of web developers. If you know of a high school student planning to attend college and interested in majoring in computer science, please ask them to apply for the grant and join us at Aloha on Rails!
