Event Description

For the first time in Hawaii, 8K TV will be shown to a limited audience. Demonstrations are happening In conjunction with the Pacific Telecommunications Council conference, PTC'15. You can see 8K TV and meet its developers from Japan (NHK, Japan's public broadcaster).

With 16 times more pixels than HDTV, 8K TV promises a maximum sense of immersion and realism, the future of TV in Super Hi-Vision.

End-to-end transmission will begin in Japan in 2018, but this is your first chance to see this revolutionary technology here in Hawaii.
