BICSI Breakfast Club

The purpose of the Breakfast Club is to provide an opportunity for BICSI members in Hawaii to get to know one another, for designation holders to gain additional CEC's, for guests to find out more about our organization and for all to learn more about Information Transport Systems. The meeting will begin with a breakfast buffet. After a brief welcome and description of BICSI activities, we will have two instructional presentations:

John Adams, RCDD/OSP Specialist, ITS Technician & BICSI Master Instructor will give an overview of Outside Plant (OSP) telecommunications. John is the owner of Adams Telecomm of Lady Lake, Florida and has over 42 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. John is also the OSP Subject Matter Expert Team Leader (SMETL) on BICSI’s Technical Information & Methods (TI&M) Committee, responsible for the publication of BICSI’s Outside Plant Design Reference Manual.

Stan Kubota, Owner and Sales Engineer of Hi-Tech Reps and the local representative for JDSU, will take us through the best practices for ensuring fiber optic system performance. Stan has over 25 years experience working with Fiber Optics as a Certified Fiber Characterization Engineer, Certified Fiber Optic Technician and a Certified Fiber Optic School & Instructor.

BICSI is a professional association supporting the Information Transport Systems (ITS) industry with information, education and knowledge assessment for individuals and companies. BICSI serves more than 24,000 ITS professionals, including designers, installers and technicians. These individuals provide the fundamental infrastructure for telecommunications, audio/video, life safety and automation systems. Through courses, conferences, publications and professional registration programs, BICSI staff and volunteers assist ITS professionals in delivering critical products and services, and opportunities for continual improvement and enhanced professional stature. Headquartered in Tampa, Florida, BICSI membership spans nearly 100 countries.
