Ruby on Rails Developer position on Maui
Cheqbook.com is seeking a Ruby on Rails Developer in Maui, Hawaii. We are looking for a new team member with a passion for programming to help us build our accounting platform.
Successful applicant should have the following skills.
-Experience with Ruby and Ruby on Rails
-Experience with MVC, OOP, Agile, unit testing, software patterns, SQL, XML, XHTML, CSS
-Experience with Jquery or similar libraries
-Experience deploying and managing apps on Heroku or EC2
-Open Source Experience a plus.
Primary Job Duties:
This person will join a small team of developers to design, develop, deliver, and maintain our accounting platform. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated, creative, and focused.

This will initially be a contract position with the possibility of becoming a full time team member after a three month trial period. Unfortunately we currently cannot sponsor visas. Potential candidates must reside in Hawaii. Relocation costs will not be covered.

To anyone considering this position - We've worked with Ben and Doug. They are solid guys building an interesting company. If I was a Rails developer looking for a startup in Hawaii I would jump at this opportunity.
