Coordinator for Kamehameha Schools Maui Campus Laptop Program

Kamehameha Schools (KS) has a Print and Repair Center Coordinator (2-year Limited Term) position available at our Maui Campus in Makawao. The deadline to apply is: 4/6/2015.

This position is for the KS Maui Elementary School Laptop Program and is a Limited Term, 2 year position, beginning with the 2015-2016 Fiscal Year and ending on June 30, 2017. Position will report directly to the Elementary School Principal.

Education:

An Associate's Degree.

Summary of Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 6 months of related work experience.
  • Working knowledge of Macintosh and PC systems, peripherals, and software applications.
  • Communicate effectively in writing and orally with student, teachers, and parents.
  • Work in differing environments, one with administration and one in the Print and Repair Center.
  • Use standard word processing and spreadsheet programs and Windows operating system.
  • Use and understand Internet/Intranet, servers, networks, and video technologies.


Summary of Duties:

  • Provides first line trouble-shooting which may include, but not limited to: responding to hardware and software issues; installing and re-installing approved software on computers as requested by users.
  • Maintains and manages the One-to-One student laptops by providing basic hardware and software assistance to student users. Provides one-on-one assistance to students on the appropriate use of various KS standard software as needed.
  • Performs routine maintenance of student laptops and related peripherals by cleaning drives, monitors, keyboards while maintaining consistency of files and folders on hard drive. Runs maintenance software utilities as required. Ensures security and virus software is installed and properly running.
  • Plans and implements for the annual student laptop roll-in and roll-out processes. Supports the laptop administrative coordinators in the planning, distribution, execution and support of all student laptops.
  • Liaison for risk management in replacing lost or stolen computer peripheral equipment for teachers and staff.
  • Trains students in the care, maintenance, and proper use of student laptops.
