Event Description

We will have the Eclipse Hawaii User's Group (eclipsehawaii.org) meeting on Tuesday during lunch (2/17) at 11:30 am at Dept of Justice (JJIS) on Beretania. IBM will sponsor and provide refreshments.

Note: This is a day time Lunch Meeting.

Topics (Double Header): GWT & SDL/Swing
Part 1: Building GWT (Google Web Tools) Applications with Eclipse
We will walk through building a simple GWT application, take a look at a more complex GWT app (Ooi), and discuss the GWT technology stack.

Part 2: Building Java Swing apps with SDL/Swing
We will look at a new, simple declarative framework that makes building Swing applications fun.

Our speaker is Dan Leuck of Ikayzo.

Sorry we couldn't demo Ooi as an example of a larger GWT/GXT app. If you have internet next time I can do a 5 minute demo.

Very nice Job today. I think you really showed the value of GWT and the SDL/Swing tool was very cool.

I'll be demoing Ooi which makes heavy use of GXT.
