Hey Look, the Basis - Peak Smart Watch

Hey folks, remember Nate Kowahl, who last gave us a talk on data analytics? Well, he's back, and he's been busy.

He's offered to talk about the new Basis, Peak smart watch / fitness tracker, that he's had a hand in creating. He'll go into the details of the watch (sensing etc). And then, if we're lucky, he'll jump into algorithm development details, using calories as an example of how all the sensor data gets used to create metrics.

The watch doesn't have a developer API yet, but its on the roadmap. Interested in hearing more? Come on out. Sorry for the short notice, but we just set this up today.

Big thanks to the folks at The Box Jelly for accommodating us. These people are the best. To keep them happy, healthy, and well-rested, we have to be out of TBJ by 8pm.
