Event Description

Responsive design requires us to rethink how we look at web design to accommodate the expansive landscape of devices along with their new forms of interaction. Modern day CSS frameworks have streamlined the responsive design workflow and development process by encompassing industry standards to save in development time and ensure your websites scale properly across devices. This one-day course covers the basic principles of responsive design (fluid grids, flexible images, and media queries), the different responsive CSS frameworks available to us today, and important factors to consider when selecting a CSS framework. A basic understanding of HTML & CSS is required.

Mike King is vice president of interactive design at Ikayzo, an interactive software agency based in Honolulu. Mike specializes in interaction design for web, mobile, and desktop applications. He has created interactive designs for finance, government and educational institutions. He has extensive experience designing for multiple mobile devices including iOS (iPhone/iPad) and Android, as well as responsive design for mobile web applications.

To register call 956-8400 - workshop fee $135
