Thought you folks might like this video from a concert we played over the weekend with Ekolu. The song is an original called "Ko'u Mana'o"

Aloha Daniel... That makes sense..I have the Hawaiian unicode installed on the PC and it works well in Word, Outlook, etc... but not here. Cut and paste from the character map is loads of fun. Could be Firefox...

Hi Greg - It depends on your OS and your configuration. On OS X you can add Hawaiian as a keyboard configuration and then simply use option + vowel when in Hawaiian input mode. It also converts single apostrophes to ʻokina automatically. On Windows you can use Alt + the decimal character code or, if you have one of the Hawaiian IMEs installed, you can use alt + vowel.

Mahalo nui for the quick response, Daniel. 'Okina is pretty easy but I typically use Alt+ vowel for kahako.. How does one type the equivalent in here? :-) Mahalo for your help..

Aloha Greg. You can use ʻokina and kahakō on TechHui. We have a lot of friends who heckle us when we don't :-) Just type or copy them directly into the text boxes.

Aloha kakou.. ( hmm Hawaiian unicode doesnʻt work in here.. back to US English.. )

My ʻohana and I make traditional Hawaiian tools, weapons, drums, fishhooks,etc.. I do some of the art but mostly, Iʻm the guy that fixes the computers, does the website, takes pics,etc...But I also keep tabs on whatʻs happening in the web and report back..

Thought you folks might dig this. We're selling a live Rebel Zion album for $5. All proceeds will go towards helping us get our studio album mastered and released.

Aloha. I have had the great pleasure to play in a Hawaiian music band of fathers at my daughters school. We have some very talented musicians who seem to know every Hawaiian song...I try to play along as I can.

One of my web clients is Tropical Music Hawaii, which includes Poki Records, the original Makaha Sons and Brother Iz producers...you might want to check out their catalog at www.TropicalMusicHawaii.com. You can sample minute long versions of some classic albums there.

Great group idea. Just uploaded a couple more of my Hawaiian tracks to my profile. For Hawaiian music, I've got my take on E Ku'u Morning Dew, Kaho'olawe, Sanoe/Awaiaulu and a couple original ki ho'alu tracks up. Hope you enjoy em.
