It was back in Russia and I haven't spoken any English at that time. Russia traditionally follows pretty closely on the current trends in Japanese literature, for instance, all Murakami's novels (both Ryu and Haruki) are huge bestsellers there. Same for Komatsu, Kobo Abe, Akutagawa, other classics, way back to Prince Genji. (-:
