Hawaii Science, Tech, Engineering and Math Workforce Development Survey On Facebook

The STEM Workforce Development Program at UH-Manoa needs your help. We are currently trying to find out how well science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) school programs and activities have prepared Hawaii's students for careers in these fields, and discover what happens to former participants after they enter the workforce.

If you attended any school in Hawaii--any grade between kindergarten and graduate school--we would greatly appreciate it if you would take our survey, available as a Facebook application here.

Our application also lets you invite friends to take the survey as well; if you have friends who may have been involved in STEM programs in Hawaii schools, please let them know about our efforts.

I will pass. I am trying to spend less interactive time on the Internet, and more time learning what's on my Vista computer. And more time in the yard, and the kitchen. Or perhaps, more time "face to face".

Guess I've become less interested in things, and more on basics.

Negroponte feels more Americans should learn more about and perhaps do more programming. I think so. Like reading the manual. Or, customizing your tech stuff. Like in "personal computing".

Taking the survey now, one suggestion is to add javascript logic such that if a person has not participated in STEM activities, the rest of the STEM-based questions are inactive/greyed out since they don't apply, or, perhaps make a choice such as not-applicable. Just a thought.

Hi Kate. We added a blurb under "Site Info, Announcements & Things To Do" linking to your survey. We hope you get a good response.
