Ruby on Rails

Ruby on Rails is the most fun way to build interactive web applications. Ruby is a terse, yet expressive, scripting language designed for programmer happiness. Rails is the productive and feature-rich web application framework that is powering some of the world's most popular websites, like Twitter and Hulu.

I'm new to techhui and looking for a local development shop (or developer) to complete coding for a Ruby Rails app.  I'm not a good enough programmer to complete it myself (I'm better at design, planning, UX and QA).  Can anyone point me in the right direction without breaking my bank?

glad to hear it.  What was I arguing about? :-)

Okay Sam... you've made a convincing argument.

I was just asking in the Python group about the number of companies that use Python/Django. Any comments on how many companies in Hawaii use ruby/rails?

Hey all, I'm teaching a RESTful web services programming course at HPU in the fall. Ruby on Rails will be one of the main languages used, but there will also be a focus on JavaScript, and Second Life scripting. Here's the link to sign up for single courses at HPU if you're not already enrolled there:

Given the severity, thought it was worth posting here:

If you have a RubyOnRails program and you use the forms helper, your site is vulnerable to XSS attacks. Security advisory (and patch details) here:

Aloha on Rails has opened its Call for Participation. We're looking for thought provoking topics relevant to Rails developers. Doesn't have to be Rails specific, be creative and have fun. This is going to be an amazing event with some big names, and we're looking for Hawaii to represent!
