Expression Web SuperPreview
Last summer, I made the switch to a MacBookPro as my main web development system. Since then I have been slack in testing my web designs with Internet Explorer. It's time now to start making sure my web designs are cross-platform compatible, not just Firefox-friendly. I have
VMWare Fusion installed on my Mac with Windows XP and Ubuntu. Running Fusion slows down my system (with 4 GB of SDRAM) so I use it sparingly. However, with Fusion I can test my web designs on the following browsers, all on one physical machine: * Firefox (Mac, WinXP, Ubuntu) * Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8 (WinXP) * Safari (Mac and WinXP) * Opera (Mac and WinXP)
beta version of SuperPreview for free. SuperPreview requires you to download and install .NET Framework 3.5 SP1, which takes a looooong time. Unfortunately for me, I was unable to get SuperPreview to actually run in my WinXP installation in Fusion. Has anyone here tried SuperPreview? I'd like to know if you are able to get it to install and run, and if so your thoughts on it.

Roxanne, thank you for sharing the Browser Shots link. Cool site! However, my web software requires user authentication so I need to actually run it in a working browser.
JW, perhaps I have a hardware issue w/ my MBP because its a refurb that's always had problems with starting from sleep mode.
Scott, thanks for letting me know about IETester. It looks really great! Have you found that IETester renders in IE6 exactly like the real IE6 down to the pixel?
Brian, for some reason I can't run MultipleIE for IE6 in WinXP/Fusion. And, yes, I did a short stint at a military facility just a couple months ago that was still using IE6.

SuperPreview looks very interesting.
I run pretty much the same setup OS X Macbook Pro with VMWare Windows XP.
I use MultipleIE's on Windows XP to get access to IE 5.5, IE6, and IE7 or IE 8 (which ever is the default browser).

The performance is very good and I have not had any issues.
It is shocking how many corporations / government agencies still use IE 6.

I'm not experienced inExpressionWeb but here are some browser related solutions. You might want to check out http://www.my-debugbar.com/wiki/IETester/HomePage and this, http://www.xenocode.com/browsers/. I've used IETester but haven't tried the later yet.

I have not experienced any speed related issues with VMWare. But I'm not a native MS user. I would like to say I am running ESRI GSI software (MS only) which should be a resource hog, but Fusion seems just as fast as the PC in the GSI lab. I only have a MacBook but have 4GB Ram and upgraded 7200 rpm HD.
