Celebrating University of Hawaii in Second Life

Over 75 avatars visited the University of Hawaii System island in SL for the opening event July 22, 2009. Activities included an orientation for 20 new avatars, tours, a hunt, a Hawaii trivia game in chat, live DJ Becca Imago, dancing and chatting. Melanie Twine, Kaomea Adored and Elle Mexicola designed the decor and created the activities. Sam Solomon, Island Administrator, gave tours of the teaching and research spaces and managed many things. Adra Letov gave an orientation session before the party to new avatars to welcome them to the UH Island. A grand time was had by all visitors from UH System and librarians from all over the world.
