The first computer in Hawaii was installed at the Honolulu offices of Libby, McNeill & Libby in 1956. The IBM 650 used vacuum-tube logic and drum-memory. It could store 2000 words (10 digits and a sign) in memory. References: HawaiiHistory.org: 1956 Columbia.edu
