    Hi Bob.  Thanks for the information about my iOS <--> PC connectivity dilemma.  I am indeed considering taking a look at bluetooth again.  But I am considering a Redpark cable purchase just to see what I can do with it.  Another friend suggested the solution outlined here: http://www.oodlestechnologies.com/blogs/Data-transfer-to-iOS-device...(using-USB-Multiplex-Daemon).  I've had no luck with it yet, but I will keep trying.
