About Me:
I'm part web designer, part computer programmer, and I love what I do. I have a passion for creating elegant, effective websites that are easy to use. My approach to web design is to keep everything as simple and intuitive as possible, to ensure the highest quality user experience. I am a recent graduate of the University of Hawaii at Manoa where I received a Bachelor of Science in Information & Computer Science. While in school, I studied design theory, human-computer interaction, web development, and software engineering. In the Spring of 2008 I studied web design at Roehampton University in London. Over the years I have become proficient in many languages, though I have the most experience programming in Java.

Currently, I am the lead web designer for E-telligents, an Electronic Health Record software vendor based in Honolulu. I design and implement the user interface for their web-based EHR application. In addition, I am active in the development of the back-end system, working with technologies such as Ruby on Rails, Java, Wicket, MySQL, and Hibernate.

My passions in life are traveling and music. I've lived abroad and loved every minute of it. I play the drums and also dj at events from time to time. I try to have a good time with what I do. I'd one day love to incorporate traveling and music into my professional career.

    hey tyler, i saw your post to "What do you want from a "Local High Tech Day"?". you had good comments! my company will definitely be presenting at that event.

    but, just to let you know there are more opportunities to talk to industry. we will be a the Fall Career Day put on by the College of Engineering (http://www.eng.hawaii.edu/college-events/fall-career-day). come talk story with us and the many other companies.
