    Aloha Mika,
Mahalo Nui Loa for adding me so quickly :) To answer your question regarding wave analyses, we generally use SWAN for pipelines and OrcaFlex for structures (e.g., OTEC plant). UH professor Mark Merrifield has helped us with detailed analyses of current patterns in Mamala Bay.
    Have a wonderful week Mika!

Thank you Mika. We started Lei Chic almost 18 months ago now and we've grown to more than 4000 subscribers and some big news is forthcoming.

I appreciate the welcome message. Daniel reached out to me about a month or two ago and I talked to a few friends who liked what you were doing. I wish you great success.

    Aloha, George

    Hi Mika,

LimPacific focuses on providing IT-related / consulting services to US companies operating in those countries. Let me know if there's any companies that need help.

    Jon

PS. Congratulations to you and Daniel on TechHui's acquisition by the way. Best of luck to you both in Japan!

Thanks for the warm welcome to Tech Hui. That video was all Todd. He's been doing this kind of work for a long time and accumulated quite a bit of work. My wife, Aya, said it was nice to meet you to. Look forward to more events and I'll be sure to check out the groups you have on here. Maybe next time you'll be able to mingle more instead of hanging out at the front desk :)

Thanks Mika, Yes Microsoft was definitely a very interesting place to work as a designer. Over the course of my tenure there Microsoft came a long way in terms of valuing design and its contribution to the bottom line though from the outside its often hard to see it :) Lots of good stories to tell about that place!
  • Mason Watanabe

    Aloha Mika! Thanks

Hi Mika! I've read Komatsu Sakyo a while ago... while I was in elementary school! Mid 70ies, perhaps. It was back in Russia and I haven't spoken any English at that time. Russia traditionally follows pretty closely on the current trends in Japanese literature, for instance, all Murakami's novels (both Ryu and Haruki) are huge bestsellers there. Same for Komatsu, Kobo Abe, Akutagawa, other classics, way back to Prince Genji. (-:

Mahalo Mika - this site looks awesome. I try to brew all kinds of different styles of beer, and experiement with something new in every batch. My favorites are dark beers like Stouts and Porters, especially when adding coffee and/or chocolate to them. But my number one favorite is a strong Indian Pale Ale with lots of hops, which I probably brew every 3 times or so :) It's a great hobby, and very suitable for geeky people like myself hahaha
