Job Summary: As part of the Enterprise Applications & Data Management team and under general direction of the Enterprise Architect, the Web Administrator manages all aspects of HPU's public web presence environment, including architecture, design, development, reliability, availability, monitoring and performance, security and content management. This is a unique opportunity that will help develop an integrated online presence for Hawaii Pacific University fostering effective collaboration, usability and communication for both our intranet and extranet population. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in related field (Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, Business Administration) or equivalent experience
Experience with HTML, CSS, PHP,XML and/or ASP.NET
Experience in JavaScript, JQuery and/or JSON
Experience in MySQL or MSSQL
Experience understanding fully integrated systems, which may include applications, databases and related systems
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
Desired Qualifications:
Experience in developing PHP/MySQL applications
Experience in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010/2013
Experience in Hannon Hill Cascade
Advanced HTML, Advanced Cascade Style Sheet (CSS), Google Analytics, social media sites and their tools
Have a good sense of design, layout, color, and typography
Have excellent verbal and writing skills
Photoshop and Illustrator
Ability to manage complex tasks with minimal supervision in team situation and to effectively communicate with broad range of individuals
Experience in University computing environment
Experience in managing VPS using WHM and cPanel
Other Qualifications:
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Visa sponsorship and relocation allowance is not available for this position.
Report to work obligations to support the department and may require work during HPU's winter break, if necessary.
This position may be considered anessentialposition with report to work obligations depending on the type of emergency, campus closure, or evacuation.
Must meet training and background check qualifications and comply with the Protection of Minors policy.
Upon hire, candidate must have reliable personal transportation to facilitate travel between to all HPU worksites and other locations as required by the position. This includes a valid driver's license and a personal vehicle that is legally registered and insured.
Able to work all shifts and extended hours.

Key Responsibilities/Essential Job Functions: 1. Manages the web presence including ongoing updates and revisions (60%)
Study user and project web presence requirements, evaluate existing solutions and software product integration
Provide assistance and advice on using the CMS for content managers as well as stepping in as content managers for departments who have no content managers for their page(s) in the website
Updating content on pages
Creating graphic and image elements
Arranging directories based on their needs
Providing monthly CMS training sessions to new content managers and current content managers
Author and produce training materials
Analytics development and maintenance for HPU's online presence
Online form creation and consolidation
E-newsletter templates development and design
Evaluates current and emerging SharePoint practices and technologies
Development, design, configuration and troubleshooting of SharePoint 2010 / 2013 / Office365 projects across the HPU community
Customization and configuration of SharePoint portal features and functions including site collections, team sites, web parts, enterprise content management and workflows
Acts as the primary point of contact for extranet, intranet site or portal issues. Interfaces with vendors and technical consultants
Administrate and maintain various VPS, and provision hosting plans for end-users
2. Software/Data Administration (30%)
Develop, build and maintain templates in Cascade System ("CMS") including any JQuery, JavaScript, and CSS development
Understand data access and integration needs of various user systems utilized by students, faculty and staff at the University
Maintain and support assigned systems to ensure minimal downtime and loss of productivity and service
Actively participate in application development to provide expertise in building well-designed code.
3. Performs other related duties as assigned (10%)
Work with all other Information Technology Services staff members to coordinate projects through project review meetings, status updates, reports on problems and resolution and recommendations concerning assigned activities in order to enhance the effectiveness of the ITS division, University goals and projects
Attend technical training courses, seminars or self-instruction courses to enhance knowledge and computer skills and techniques across platforms
Perform miscellaneous administrative duties, including maintaining technical documentation, and providing expertise and assistance to other staff.
Successful candidate will be able to work in an environment that utilize excellent time and stress management skills.
Actively participates as an effective member of team by completing assigned duties, accepting additional assignments or reassignments.
Assists with seasonal peaks.
