Just finished my 3rd WordPress website.  So... no matter what people say about wordpress... I find it easy to install, use and expand on.   Great set it and forget it type of system.

@Monica. Nice to know my posts are getting read.  I took a class in Drupal 6 and thought it looked pretty complicated, like the dashboard of an airplane.  WordPress was like the dashboard of a car in comparison.

I can appreciate Drupal's power, especially for building a large-scale site for a big business or organization.

@Jon: Thanks for that slideshare link.  Slide #34, with the stereotypical WordPress and Drupal designers, was hilarious!

Wordpress vs. Drupal -- FIGHT!

Ok Wordpress folks, Marcus's article with links on how WordPress is becoming a more robust CMS system is intriguing me.

Want to let me know your thoughts? Have you had to deal with a more complex site and had to choose between Wordpress or Drupal?

We're doing some demos and use case scenarios at the first ever Drupal Camp Hawaii on July 14 in Honolulu and would love your participation to present if you have experience with both Drupal and Wordpress and want to talk about which you use in specific cases. Thanks!

Interesting article on the new algo..

@Fred, sorry for the late chime-in, somehow I missed the post notification.  I agree with Dan that the algo change mostly hurt content farms, the biggest looser from the change was actually Google as they lost a significant percentage of AdWords revenue from the sites who lost traffic due to the change.

On a WordPress note, it would be great if you could all chime in on the following Poll:  What CMS do you prefer?  Its getting a lot of votes:

@Fred Thank you for the link. There are a lot of people saying "this has been really bad for my site" but very few of them provide a link. I don't mean to sound unfriendly, but maybe its because those people have crappy sites with poor content and/or are using spamdexing. Whenever the algorithm changes there will always be winners and losers. As long as the winners are people who provide larger amounts of quality content to people doing searches that is a good thing.

Hi Daniel, check out the following forum and the discussion thread.  Mixed responses.  http://www.webmasterworld.com/google/4261944-15-30.htm

Wonder if things just need to normalize and indexes will begin to reflect more favorable values for "good content" sites.

TechHui is up 18%. I've seen similar movement on non-commercial sites with lots of content.

Hey Rob,  just curious, what's your take on the results of Google's algo change?  Heard from several forums that it seems to be a bit off or in some folks eyes really off.  There's talk to allow the algo to settle down and that may take months?  But legit folks and their sites seem to be losing page ranking 30-40%.  That's significant!!!  What's the news on the experts side of the house?  Appreciate your insight.
