This is a chance for software professionals to connect, network, discuss projects, review products and collaborate. It is also a networking opportunity for professors and students to connect with industry professionals.</p>

<p><font size="2">Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA) & High Technology Development Corporation (HTDC) have partnered to host the <strong>Pre-Startup Weekend Wetware Wednesday</strong> networking event for local software developers and system engineers. April’s networking event will be held at The Greenhouse Innovation Hub. This networking event is free to attend and only open to software developers* and system engineers. </font></p>

When I started doing network and systems administration in Tokyo I was almost always the only woman in the department. Today in Hawaii I see a much larger percentage of women working in science and technology. That makes TechHui 18.6% female. I remember 15 years ago on techie bulletin boards it would be closer to five percent. I wonder what it will be five or ten years from now.
