Comment by Sam Joseph on January 21, 2011 at 1:28am Just in case anyone is interested I have been comparing development in iOS, Android and Windows Mobile platforms:
http://linklens.blogspot.com/2011/01/comparing-ios-android-windows-...
I'll be including Windows Mobile 7 in my online Mobile Programming course starting next week. There are a few spaces left. Focus on either iOS, Android or Windows Mobile 7 for your assignments and final project, as well as hooking up with an interface designer from the parallel online Mobile Design course in order to make your mobile project both look great and simple to use!
Comment by Roxanne Darling on January 13, 2011 at 3:47pm I wanted to invite you all to the Jan 18 meeting of Social Media Club Hawaii - we will be discussing trends, and Mobile is one of them. We'd love to have you join the conversation with us.
Comment by Sam Joseph on December 20, 2010 at 9:39pm Hi Mobile Developers,
I've just updated drafts for syllabi for both my Mobile Design and Mobile Programming Courses:
Syllabus-CSCI4702-Spring11-joseph-v1.pdf
Syllabus-MULT3610-Spring11-joseph-v1.pdf
Project work will provide the opportunity for programmers to collaborate with designers in order to create mobile applications. The plan is to have every programmer/designer team with a paid, or ad-supported app in either the AppStore or the Android MarketPlace by the end of the course.

Full details of the HPU calendar are here:
http://www.hpu.edu/index.cfm?contentID=12475&siteID=1
but in summary the class runs from Jan 24th to May 15th, which is approximately 16 weeks. These dates and a few more details are in the techhui event for the course:

Please fire away with more questions :-)

Comment by Rico Moreno on December 15, 2010 at 10:03pm I called HPU and spoke to the Special Students Admin and they verified that the course is $990- for non HPU students.
Comment by Makoto Ishida on December 15, 2010 at 9:21pm Ok, I'll check the links.
Thank you very much, Sam!
Comment by Sam Joseph on December 15, 2010 at 9:14pm Hi Makoto,
And here is a link to the HPU tuition fees:
http://www.hpu.edu/index.cfm?section=welcome466
and I believe the mobile programming class would be $330 per credit, so that's $990 for the 3 credit class. I still need to double check that that is precisely what special status students pay, but hopefully that gives you an idea of the approximate cost.
