Hey Jerry - Thank you for the heads up on all these great events! If you have events that you really want to highlight, consider posting them in the Events calendar. That way we can feature them and link to them from elsewhere.

This week Thursday (yes tomorrow) 6-9pm Maui Makers will be meeting at the UH Institute For Astronomy's Maikalani facility in Pukalani.  The Advanced Technology Research Center (ATRC) is known to many of our members who have attended their monthly astronomy related talks.  We also held a sparkfun workshop there a few years ago.  ATRC is located behind Longs Drug off the Kula Highway in Pukalani (or Kula depending where the line is IDK).  I've attached a link to driving directions/map.
Aside from the usual talk-story, and small project work, we will be talking about whats happening with our local (and global) maker community…
 * Honolulu Mini-Maker Faire March 15th (we have table, who's going)
 * TEDxYouth Seabury Hall April 6th (we have table, who's going)  http://tedxyouthseaburyhall.com/
 * Organizational Challenges for Maui Makers (we need YOU!)
 * NASA Space Apps Challenge April 12-13 (we are a host group) https://2014.spaceappschallenge.org/

Yes, Jerry. Let's do it. A Tues or Wed evening? Where?

The sound wasn't good at Flatbread but it was easy to book, central enough, and free.

Sorry I missed the Lean Startup event this week... but I did make to the MRTC holiday event thursday... and met Alline Oliveira who was involved in the production of the Lean Startup event.  She is now living on maui and interested in getting a local startup weekend event happening.  I invited her to join this group... maybe we can get some Maui Techie meetups happening in the new year?!

Lynn Rasmussen and I are again hosting the simulcast of the Lean Startup Conference coming up next week Monday and Tuesday (12/9&10) from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. both days at her home off of Baldwin Ave in Makawao.   It is a very comfortable place with an excellent meeting space and Internet.  Drop by for specific segments or the whole conference.  There will be time and space to meet new folks and catch up with old friends.  Please RSVP via Eventbrite bit.ly/1dQQFUX

After a summer off, Maui Makers is meeting TONIGHT - thurs 26 sept

at the Pu'unene School main building, in the library. You can park in front of big white (dirty) building.

This is different than our usual (in cafeteria in back).

Not sure if this will be the regular space or not going forward, but come on down and check in with us.  Lots to talk about!
