Congrats on hitting 50 members! Its great to see a tech group outside of Oahu gaining critical mass.

I think there are more people we can recruit to join us here. Will see what I can do. I am also returning to having an office at the MRTC in Kihei next month, and I have been given the go a head to use some of the larger spaces for meetings, so if we are up for take out or catering, we could do it there.

It was a blast seeing everyone! Nice to see everyone and hear of new products.
Let's see if we can't get this going once every other month.

Jerry, I was thinking the same thing.. either someone bring a MiFi device which has limitations or the place needs WiFi..

I also didn't get to meet at least half of the people but there is always next time. Those I did meet were great, looking forward to meeting the rest of you.

It was great meeting up with a dozen or so Maui Techies for dinner last night. There were so many interesting people to meet - alas I didnt get to talk to several and some at the end were far too brief. The last of us left a bit after 10:30pm - as they turned the lights off behind us. As Larry McCarty said on the Event thread (top of page tab for Events), lets make this a more regular thing. Perhaps monthly at first and see where that gets us. Next venue needs to have wifi access (or we need a mobile wifi router setup).

Just signed up for the event tonight.
Hopefully I'll get out of my meeting and show up.

For those that don't know, the Asian Star is located here:

Hoping more people will be able to make it out tomorrow. :)

Dropping Asian star addr into google maps shows it is around corner from http://www.artandautomation.com. Now that's a company that should be attending the dinner!

Keith, what is your living situation? On Maui or moving?

Reichart, it looks like you can invite your "Tech Hui" friends, and folks from your email account, and others by email address, just not all members of a group. (Like this one -- Argh!)
