I am interested too. The Gateway Center works for me.

Aloha, Larry, Rod, Baron et al. I'd like to join this mobile app development pau hana. How about at my office at the Gateway Center at NELHA? We have wi-fi if needed. It would be close to Larry and Rod and convenient for Baron if coming over Saddle.

Sounds good to me -- any place y'all like to meet? I live Kaloko mauka (above the airport) so anyplace North of South Kona is fine by me...

Let's do a mobile app development pau hana as a warm up to Larry and Larry's get together next month. MediaBaron, if you will be on the Kona side in the next 10 days and are interested, you pick the day and we'll put it on the TechHui calendar.

@MediaBaron I agree

The Ipad is already hurting my head. It runs Safari but it must be a striped down version? Doesn't work with javascript right. Funny thing is Safari on Mac or PC runs java script just fine.

When I say iPhone has taken the market I don't mean it to diss Android. I'm just saying the iPhone App Store was there first and has seen great success so it shouldn't be discounted for any developer working on mobile device projects.

In fact many of the companies who have filled their bank accounts with iPhone money are using that moola to fuel Android development to bring their iOS apps to Android. This is great!

Like Kona being the home of the multi-sport Ironman Triathlon, developers need to be at home thinking multi-platform. Both horizontally into both iOS and Android and vertically onto tablet sized screens for both operating systems. And even web apps for more distribution.

This sounds familiar, something maybe from mIRCs' debut days. One thing history as taught us is that no one wants a Nazi (Apple=Tech Dictator). Apple started the interactive phone but who knows where it will end up. Just like in web development it started one way Microsoft (= Old Tech Dictator) and ended up completely in Open Source = Today. On a side note I am very excited phone development has become so much simpler.

Ah, Android may be 'taking' the market but iPhone has 'took' the market.

Android is taking the market so think open source!
