When I saw this list on a blog post by Carol Warner Christen, I was immediately reminded of software projects I've seen go pear-shaped at larger companies, in particular companies that do not have software development as a core competency:
1. Enthusiasm
2. Disillusionment
3. Panic
4. Search for the Guilty
5. Punishment of the Innocent
6. Praise and Honors for the Non-Participants
Are any of you familiar with these phases? :-)
