Shut Up Bob

I was just reading this post called "Shut Up Bob" on "Elegant Code".  I understand the gist of this post because I have worked with managers and developers alike who equate "agile" to code first, think later and believe that a rambling, contradictory email thread with 30 responses qualifies as a spec once there have been no responses for 48 hours.
