PTC'10?

A quick scan of the page did not yield for me what "PTC" stands for, then I saw the logo slash name at the top.... A friend of mine is attending this "Pacific Telecommunications Counsel" event, and I figured it worth posting here.

However, I don't take responsibility by posting this for anyone accidentally attending this event and as a result committing suicide. The good news is there will be 2 women at this event (I “think” they are the ones without ties on).

The schedule reveals that in exchange for you paying them, they will do this to you:

Plenary - Everyone, and I mean “EVERYONE' sits in a room together.
Networking Break - Everyone stands out in the hall together.
Reception - Everyone mills around several tables of food.
Executive Leadership Dinner - Everyone sits quietly while one person tells everyone what they already know...is wrong.

Specifically I want to bring your attention to “Involvement in PTC initiatives to promote telecommunications in the Pacific hemisphere to improve safety and quality of life” Uh....righty'o.

I normally don't say “good luck” to my friends...but it seems appropriate here...
