Kamehameha Schools is a private, educational, charitable trust founded and endowed by the legacy of a Hawaiian Princess, Bernice Pauahi Bishop.  Kamehameha Schools operates a statewide educational system enrolling more than 6,500 students of Hawaiian ancestry at K-12 campuses on O'ahu, Maui and Hawai'i and over 30 preschool sites statewide.  Kamehameha Schools hires over 500 employees each year, and employs over 3,000 staff members throughout the organization.

To support our operation, Kamehameha Schools is hiring for an Infrastructure Specialist in the Information Technology Division.  The deadline to apply is: 8/13/2013.  Below are summaries of the minimum qualifications for the Infrastructure Specialist position and of the Information Technology Division:


Summary of Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or closely related field and at least 3 years in the IT field, to include 2 years of direct experience in implementing and managing Local Area and Wide Area Networks and servers. Or, Associates Degree and 4 years of directly related experience implementing and managing Local Area and Wide Area Networks and server OR High School Diploma and 5 years of directly related experience to include 2 years of direct experience in implementing and managing Local Area and Wide Area Networks and server.
  • Effective interpersonal skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate with management.
  • Demonstrated experience in the vendor selection process to include preparation and evaluation to Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) documents.

 

Division Summary:  The Information Technology Division (ITD) at Kamehameha Schools, provides support to the organization and operating departments in all activities related to information technology management including: technical support applications development, systems maintenance, hardware/software solutions, security provisions, networking, planning and architecture, and instructional technologies.  ITD strives to be a collaborative partner with education and business units to provide relevant and appropriate technology solutions to help the organization achieve its strategic goals and objectives.
